Construction Specialist - Plastering - Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Overview
For apprentices wishing to work as a specialist plasterer in the construction industry. As a specialist plasterer, they will apply plaster, render and other finishing to complex surfaces, as well as produce and install complex plasterwork. They will also learn how to work safely in a supervisory capacity as part of a team.
This is a Framework qualification that confirms competency in working in plastering occupations. You will learn how to conform to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace, how to conform to productive working practices in the workplace and how to move, handle and store resources in the workplace, as well as learn some advanced skills and techniques used in plastering occupations.
 
Entry Requirements
The apprentice is likely to hold the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plastering Occupations (Construction), or have significant experience working with plaster within the construction industry.

  • Employer Rights and Responsibilities (ERR)
  • Personal Learning &Thinking Skills (PLTS)
 
Progression Routes
This qualification prepares an apprentice for work in the construction industry, with a specific focus on plastering. Upon completion they can apply to CSCS, or other industry card schemes, to gain a skills card that will enable them to work on site in the chosen trade. The apprentice may also wish to progress to a Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision qualification or become a supervisor working on site.
