For apprentices wishing to work in brickwork, this qualification
is ideal for demonstrating their competence. It is a measure of their ability to carry out a range of work to criteria which
has been set by the industry, and is recognised by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) and will enable them
to gain the CSCS Blue Card.
This Level 3 apprenticeship programme is
designed to further develop the apprentices’ skills and knowledge gained during their Level 2 Brickwork qualification
and will enable them to work to an advanced level in the construction sector.
The apprentice can then specialise in repairing and maintain masonry structures, constructing chimneys and fireplace structures,
constructing complex masonry structures and constructing decorative features.
The apprentice will need to have completed a Level 2 Brickwork apprenticeship programme

prepares an apprentice for work in the construction industry, with a specific focus on brickwork. Upon completion they can
apply to CSCS, or other industry card schemes, to gain a skills card that will enable them to work on site in their chosen
trade. The apprentice may also wish to progress to a Level 3 Occupational Work Supervision qualification to become a supervisor
working on site.
